Serve on a Team

Do you enjoy interacting with others? Do you have a heart for welcoming people to KawanaLife? Could you join our Welcome Team? There are various ways to get involved; including door greeter; handing out welcome packs to visitors; and waiting for new visitors who have requested for someone to meet them at the door. Get in touch if this sounds like you!

Have you enjoyed our KawanaLife morning teas? Could you serve on a team on a 6-week roster? There’s heaps of ways to involved. We need people to bake (or buy) the treats; to cut up the baked goods and plate up for the tables; to chop up fruit; to set up the long tables; to set up the tea and coffee area; and to step in for the wash up / tidy up at the end. Your help is needed - please message below.

Coffee Chaplaincy is a long-established and valuable part of our outreach to the local community. On Mondays the team take the coffee machine to Housing Pathway (homeless); and on Thursdays it travels with them to SCUH Sunshine Coast University Hospital (mental health ward). Is this an area of service that God’s placed on your heart? Would you like to sign up or know more? Please reach out to John and Anne.

Do you already have skills working with audio / visual equipment? If you don’t, is this an area you’d like to get involved with? (Full training is available.) For more information, contact David below.

Are you fluent in Auslan? Would you be willing to use your skills to facilitate the deaf to ‘hear’ and participate in our Sunday service? Please reach out, we would love to involve you on the team.

Are you passionate about seeing our young people live a vibrant Christian life? Please reach out to our Youth Group leaders - they would love to have a chat with you to find out how you might be able to get involved.

Has God blessed you with musical talent? Please chat with us about joining the Music Team.

Has God given you a heart to see children grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus? The KL Kids team are responsible for teaching our children on Sunday mornings, during the sermon. If you would like more information, please arrange a time to chat with Annette.

Could you get involved with organising and overseeing our church library? There’s heaps of scope for expanding the current library collection too. Sounds like an area that fits your passion and skills? Drop us a message below.

Do you have social media skills? Could you get involved with the team who generate content and keep our socials running? Please get in touch for more information or to find out how you could play a part.

Once a month (the last Sunday), we have a whole church pot-luck-style morning tea everyone brings a plate of something savoury or sweet to share.

We need people to get involved with the set up / clear up on the day. If you’d be willing to serve in this way, please get in contact with Annette and Ross.

Do you have creative talent in some form? From graphic design, to interior design, to landscape design, to building something creative with your hands - there are so many opportunities to share your creative gifts at KawanaLife. From time to time we run whole-church events, and there are a heap of different ways to get involved. From the initial planning, shopping and cooking; to setting up, serving up, clearing up… and everything in-between. If you’d be willing to serve as part of our Events & Catering Team, please get in touch.

Do you love to sing and are you able to hold a good tune? The great news is that there are two ways to share your talents with us. We’ve the KL Singers (our church choir); and we’ve the singers who serve alongside the Music Team to support Sunday worship. If you’d like more information on either area, drop a message below.

The Lord has opened a door for us to run a weekly Sunday service at Seasons in Caloundra and we’re always looking for people to get involved in this arm of KawanaLife. From speaking roles upfront, to quietly serving morning tea and chatting with the residents, there are different ways to serve on this team. Are you gifted with a camera? Do you have an eye for detail? We’re not looking for professionals, but we are looking for people who can take a great photo.
