What do rescue agents do?

In this short trailer (for the ‘Goldilocks’ full length documentary), you’ll get a glimpse into a real life rescue mission which took place in Manila.

A rescue story

After two years of undercover work, Caleb helped rescue five-year-old Chelsea from a prolific international child trafficker.

As part of the rescue, it was found that more than 400 Australians were involved in the exploitation of this child. Their names and details was passed to the police.

An agent’s story

In a world where more than 1,000,000 children are enslaved in exploitation, an agent’s greatest struggle can come from within.

Rescue is only the start

Just as important as the initial rescue, is what comes afterwards. While next steps are individually determined case-by-case, they are likely to involve the following:

Physical Support - including access to medical care for the sick and injured, and distribute monthly food parcels as needed.

Emotional & Spiritual Support - including trauma and resilience training; and being introduced to the saving message of the gospel.

Financial Support - carefully tailored empowerment options for the child (or their guardian) to help ensure survivors don’t return to a life of exploitation.

You can be a light in the darkness

Thousands have been freed; but millions more still wait to be found.

From praying; to making a donation; to funding a rescue; to joining the team; to getting involved in a fundraiser challenge. Or simply by raising awareness.
