Resources for the God-Curious

  • Need a Bible?

Some people say that they can find God in nature or through personal spiritual practices. So why bother with the Bible? Isn’t it just an archaic book that’s not relevant to our modern lives?

The Bible (also known as God’s Word), “… is alive and powerful… sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword… cutting between soul and spirit; and between joint and marrow… exposing our innermost thoughts and intentions.” (Hebrews 4:12)

The Bible is also “… a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.” (Psalm 119:105). It’s God’s message for humanity, guiding those who read it towards God and revealing His will for us all, which is, redemption through Jesus Christ.

You’ve probably heard heaps of people make claims about what the Bible says, but have you ever taken the time to read it for yourself? A good spot to start reading from is the New Testament book of John.

  • The Case for Christ (Movie)

Utilising his journalistic and legal skills, Lee set out on a quest to debunk the claims of Christianity in order to save his crumbling marriage.

Chasing down the biggest story of his career, Lee comes face-to-face with unexpected, life-altering results.

  • The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus

“I had always felt like the Bible was just a bunch of disjointed stories. Now I can see how it all fits together in a clear, logical manner, and it really is incredible!”

It’s been called the most misunderstood book in history. Wars have been fought in its name, scandals have been precipitated by it, politics shaped and reshaped at its word. Experts and skeptics have both defended and reviled it. You may have found yourself wondering what all the fuss is about. Yet the question remains, “What does it say?”

The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus starts at the beginning, taking you on a journey through the scriptures; tying together key Old and New Testament stories to reveal how everything pointed towards the Messiah coming to deliver the world from sin.

  • The Case for a Creator

"My road to atheism was paved by science, but ironically, so was my journey to God."

In this New York Times bestseller, you’ll discover the astonishing evidence for intelligent design.

Lee Strobel was convinced that God was obsolete, a belief that coloured his journalism career. Science had made the idea of a Creator irrelevant - or so Strobel thought at the time.

Today, a diverse and impressive body of research increasingly supports the conclusion that the universe was intelligently designed. Darwinism has faltered in the face of concrete facts and hard reason. Has science discovered God?

  • More Than a Carpenter

Skeptic Josh McDowell thought Christianity was a sham and Christians were out of their minds. He ridiculed and insulted them, then decided to combat them with his own robust research to disprove the claims of Jesus Christ.

To his surprise, he discovered that the evidence suggested exactly the opposite - that Jesus, instead of being simply a first-century Hebrew carpenter, was so much more.
