Living in India

Population: 1.5 billion
Main Languages: Hindi & English
Main religion: Hindu

The country of India occupies the greater part of South Asia. In 2023 it became the world’s most populous country, with roughly half of all Indians deriving their livelihood from agriculture.

India remains one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world. Apart from its many religions and sects, India is home to innumerable castes and tribes, as well as to more than a dozen major and hundreds of minor linguistic groups from several language families unrelated to one another.

Religious minorities, including Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jains.

Training program

RBC are focused on training local believers in contextual and intercultural mission. With a view to mobilise intercultural teams, and disciple new believers from other religious and cultural backgrounds, RBC are currently developing a pilot training program, studying Jesus’ own example of discipleship as their model.

Speaking opportunities

RBC have been greatly encouraged to be part of the Lord’s ongoing work through invitations they’ve received to speak at local churches.

They’ve been able to help teach local church leaders in Hermeneutics and Homiletics in a one-day training programme. This is a worthwhile investment to equip and empower the local leaders in caring for their own congregations.

Discipleship opportunities

The Lord has also opened opportunities to speak with young people, who always come with lots probing questions. God is at work, and RBC are thankful for the impact of the Word - particularly on these young lives.

They’ve also been asked to help in a deeper reflection on the essence of worship and what true worship entails. Give thanks to the Lord for these wonderful opportunities.
