Who We Are

KawanaLife Baptist Church is a place for everyone. We’re a mixed group of people at all ages and stages; and from all walks of life.

At the core of all we do, is our belief in the good news of the gospel - that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and was raised to life again.

Whether you’re looking to join a church or are just checking us out, we look forward to welcoming you on Sunday at 9.30am.

Our Sunday Services

Our services are relaxed but reverent. We sing in worship to God, pray together, and hear from God’s word through the reading and preaching of the Bible. Afterwards, we chat over tea and coffee.

    Every Sunday morning at 9.30am.

  • Deaf Signing

  • We Learn

Our pastor, Justin, teaches from the Bible using an expository style. You can watch a selection of past sermons on our KawanaLife YouTube channel.

  • We Chat

At the end of our service we enjoy spending time together over coffee and home baking. We’d love to get to know you - please stay and join us.

Our desire is to see lives transformed through the good news of Jesus Christ.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s normal to have questions, especially if you’ve never been to church before.

  • We usually begin by sharing announcements and church news. This is followed by a time of singing and prayer. We read from the Bible and our pastor, Justin, talks about it through the sermon; which helps us connect God’s word with everyday life.

The service finishes by 11am and everyone is invited to stay afterwards for tea, coffee and a chat – it’s a great way to connect.

  • Children are a valued part of our church family. For primary-aged children, we have KL Kids which runs upstairs during the main message; and includes age-appropriate Bible teaching taught in a fun and engaging way.

For parents with babies and toddlers, you are welcome to use our Parents’ Room, which is available for your privacy, comfort and convenience.

We also run a combined Youth Group on Friday nights for students in Years 3-12.

  • Yes. Much of our building is wheelchair accessible and we have a disabled toilet.

While there is no designated disabled parking as such, we do have one unofficial disabled parking spot next to the front door. If you’re planning a visit, please email us ahead of time so we can reserve it for you.

  • We’re a mixed bag with people at all ages and stages of life. You’ll find couples, singles, divorced, widowed, families – professionals, workers, students and retired people.

  • Communion (also known as The Lord’s Supper) is a meaningful and tangible way for followers of Jesus to remember His sacrifice on the cross.

At KawanaLife we share communion on the first Sunday of each month.

If you’re a Christian, you are welcome to take part in it with us. If you choose not to, that’s completely okay – there’s no pressure or judgement.

  • There’s no dress code. You’ll find some people wearing their ‘Sunday best’, while others will be in shorts and flip flops. The important thing is that you’re here, not what you’re wearing.

  • There’s no reserved or set seating, so please sit anywhere you like.

  • No. You’ll neither be asked, nor expected to give any money.

If you’d like to support the work of KawanaLife, however, you are welcome to make a donation online; or by using the offering box near the front door. Giving is optional - it’s entirely up to you.

  • Absolutely! We have friendly door greeters to welcome everyone when they arrive.

If you’d like someone to meet you personally, just send us a message here (at least a few days before your visit) and we’ll make sure someone is waiting for you.
